Why Support your Local Pharmacy?    #FillLocal

Because We Care

"It's great being able to just participate in community activities without having to run it past a corporate office.  It allows us to be more involved in things that are important to us and to our customers."
                                               -- Brittany, Pharmacist

Because We Give Back to This Community

We have been involved in your community, our community, in many ways since we've been open.  Here's a selection of our activities:

  • Harmony Health Clinic
This non-profit medical and dental clinic for the uninsured and underserved in Little Rock holds a special place in our hearts.  Nick, our co-owner, volunteered there for three years as Head Pharmacist and we continue to provide support by volunteering regularly.

Join us the evening of Friday, November 17th for Harmony's annual World Cheese Dip Championship cum Craft Beer Festival at Dickey Stephens Park -- taste lots of cheese and beer for a great cause!

  • Home Vaccinations
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, it became clear to us that people who had mobility restrictions had difficulty accessing life-saving vaccines.  We therefore set aside dedicated pharmacist time to go to homes to administer COVID-19 and flu vaccines at no extra cost to patients.  It wasn't an easy decision because demand for pharmacist and technician time was very high at the pharmacy, but we knew it was the right thing to do to help the community.

  • Project Zero
There are more than 300 kids in foster care in Arkansas waiting for a forever family.  Project Zero works to find adoptive families.  We've held two gift wrapping by donation events for this worthwhile cause.
  • Arkansas Blood Institute
We hold regular blood drives at The Pharmacy at Wellington.  Follow us on Facebook for details or sign up for our monthly email to know when they are:  https://mailchi.mp/e88c01be37c8/tpw_website

  • Veterans' Day 2018
Sponsoring students' hand-made cards also provided the opportunity for some special veterans to visit Don Roberts Elementary and other local schools.

  • Diaper Arkansas
We've sponsored diaper drives in our parking lot, but diapers are accepted year-round.  Mothers having access to diapers can positively impact their babies' health (link to study here).

  • World Cheese Dip Championship (to benefit Harmony  Health Clinic)
Those of you who attended the 2018 event will know that our very own pharmacist, Susan, created the Runner-up Peoples' Choice winning Cheese Dip!  We've also helped out with organizing the event over the years.

  • Peace Love Goodwill Run
In 2018, several of our technicians and pharmacists ran the 5K and 10K runs in support of Goodwill's objective of helping people in the community change their lives through education, training, and employment.  We got a great workout as part of it!

  • Smile Salvation
We provided medications for this non-profit that promotes oral health by giving free dental screenings  at local health fairs, community events, etc., to reach those who may not otherwise be able to visit a dentist.

  • National Drug Take Back Day
Unused medication can fall into the wrong hands, intentionally or unintentially, and that is why we participate twice a year in National Drug Take Back Day, with the support of Arkansas' Attorney General and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.  We are now also a Drug Take Back location, so you can drop off most unwanted or expired drugs in store.
